A BIT OF HISTORY

VINCENT-LARCHER

Louis-Germain Vincent-Larcher (1816-1894) is a Trojan glass painter who restored many stained glass windows in the region, including, in particular, those of St. Peter and St. Paul's Cathedral.

From 1859 to his death, he lived in this house which was also his place of work; his studio, located on the second floor, became a bedroom.

During his works, Vincent-Larcher recovered many pieces of stained glass from the fifteenth to the eighteenth and assembled them in compositions called Macedoines which still adorn the two windows of the room which give on the cathedral side.
