Something special!
We travel often and we have stayed in hundreds of hotels, B&B’s, apartments, etc. Le Jardin de la Cathédrale is something special! The staff are amazing! They were pleasant, polite, and overly helpful. We felt completely taken cared of from beginning to end. The location is perfectly located between solitude and popular attractions. The rooms are beautiful! The garden is beautiful. The breakfast was one of the best meals we’ve ever had! Everything is prepared with attention to detail, and nothing was forgotten. Sumptuous, luxurious and quirky
We booked here for a little get-away from it all. It was just what we were looking for: the moment you step through the gates of this charming chambre d'hôtes you leave the world behind. You step into a luxurious fairytale of a house, of which each room is carefully furnished by the owners with tremendous attention to detail and authenticity. Decorations are eclectic, gilded mirrors, old prints, and -in our room- a stuffed goose, but never overwhelming. The colours a sumptuous, the bed linen luxurious, and as our host said "one sleeps well here". Perhaps the biggest treat was the breakfast in the walled garden, where we enjoyed local produce: crusty bread as only the French can make, plums from the owner's garden and cheeses from the neighbourhood.

An absolute gem in all respects -
we're picky and this was faultless
Every so often you come across somewhere like this. Absolutely delightful in all respects - so much so we altered our itinerary to come back to it on the way back from our main destination. Stayed in 2 of the 5 rooms but will be back to experience all of them as they are each so unique. Places like this deserve to succeed because of all the small details most hotels neglect.

I have tried the room under the roof ‘l’atelier du verrier’. It is huge, has a fantastic wooden design and is incredibly cosy. You just don’t want to leave once in it. The bed is very comfortable, the equipments are excellent, from the nespresso machine to the presence of a..babyfoot. The breakfast is served in a nice room with a view over a beautiful garden. The products are extremely tasty, making it a very pleasant moment. Last but not least, the hosts are charming and do whatever they can to make you feel welcome, from advising you on the things to see to booking for you a restaurant. In one word: it’s a gem. Nothing could be improved: it’s just perfect. Go there: you will love it!

Amazing place to stay
From the moment we arrived we were taken aback by the style and quality of this unique Chambre D’hote. In an amazing central location next to the Cathedral and parking free nearby. It is well worth the extra cost over other Hotels locally and everyone we spoke to said it had been their best place to stay in France so far.
Rooms are decorated beautifully with a unique, quirky style and have views of the inner courtyard garden or the Cathedral.
Dinner isn’t available here so you need to do some research as to where to eat out in Troyes, sadly their recommendation of Chez Felix wasn’t brilliant at all.
We will definitely be back when passing through Troyes.

Beautiful stay
A one night stay for my husband's birthday and what a treat for us both. We were greeted so warmly and offered homemade cake and iced tea in the garden. Our room was perfect and so comfortable. Breakfast the next day in the garden was also perfect and delicious. Lætitia is a wonderful host and her home is beautiful.

Gorgeous
A beautiful, atmospheric building in the corner of an ancient square in the centre of medieval Troyes. The colour choices add to the ambience which together with all the incredible attention to detail make for a truly memorable stay. Although clearly a very old building, modern expectations with regard to comfort are a priority. Our bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in, our room was more of a spacious suite with views over the garden. We had drinks in the gorgeous garden in the evening and breakfast there in the morning and the owners, Laetitia and Valery could not have been more warm and welcoming and I must thank Laetitia for her help with a medical 'emergency'. We really enjoyed our conversations with them but equally you could sit quietly as a couple. A magical haven that we will return to. On a practical note, we have a terrible sense of direction, even with a satnav, and were driving a 4x4 in narrow streets and we were fine. It's possible to park in front of the property to unload your luggage, the car park is easy to find, 2 mins away, easy to park in and felt safe.

The only place to stay in Troyes
From the start, we knew this place was special. The owners are warm and engaging and make sure all your needs are met. When entering you are amazed by the beautiful decor and the individuality of each room. Laetitia and Valery designed both the interior and the gardens The comfort you feel is better than being at home. The extraordinary breakfast and the extra touch of leaving home made baking when you return from an outing, was appreciated. As frequent travelers to France each year, Le Jardin De La Cathedrale is by far one of the best places to stay in France.

Luxuriöse Entspannung im Garten in Mitten der wunderbaren mittelalterlichen Stadt
Ein wundervoll geschmackvoller Ort in herrlichem Ambiente. Das herrschaftliche alte Haus wurde wundervoll renoviert, so dass sein Alter prächtig zur Geltung kommt und trotzdem der Komfort und Luxus von heute nicht fehlt. Mit viel Liebe ist altes und neues Design kombiniert. Das Frühstück im Garten ist ein Traum! Die Lage ist zudem sehr zentral und neben der Kathedrale natürlich auch sehr pittoresk.

Magic
Aaahhhh... Where can I begin to describe this lovely property. Sometimes, someone, somewhere manages to get service, location, design and the overall feel just right and it translates into pure magic. This place managed to do it all.
What we loved:
Location: Centrally located next to a gorgeous cathedral. There was even a wine store on the same block. Easily accessed from the train station and the famous "cork shaped" (anyone else notice its shaped like something else?) downtown.
Service: Prompt and friendly pre-stay correspondence. This was equally matched once we arrived, where we were well taken care of without feeling smothered. Lovely owners.
Design: I wasn't sure if this was a single labour of love, from someone with a key eye and natural inclination for exceptional design or done by a professional. Either way, the property (especially the to-die-for-garden) was simply exquisite. It was the perfect combination of old / new / quirky / historic and comfortable. Simply 10/10.
Our room: We stayed in the attic room which was huge, gorgeous and very well designed. My one teeny tiny issue was that the toilet was off of the very large room and where the door met the door frame was a tiny crack. We are two men (basically animals) who pee with the door open so no problem, but might be a bit strange if people wanted a bit more privacy. Such a cool experience to sleep in the workshop of a stained glass master. Bravo!
Notable mentions: The breakfast in the STUNNING garden was a dream. Delicious cheeses, pastry, yoghurt, fruit, coffee and tea were served to us on simply DIVINE dishware.
Also- They have the loveliest old dog who is just a giant ball of mushy love. Don't worry if you don't love dogs, this one seemed pretty happy to be on her own but came over whenever you wanted to say hello.
Overal : Perfect in every way. We live in Paris and Troyes is only a short train ride away. we will hopefully be back next summer.

Outstanding, a Wonderful Oasis, a Complete Joy!
Outstanding in every respect. Beautifully restored and decorated room, the peace and quiet of the lovely courtyard garden is a wonder to behold and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was huge, we were welcomed with iced tea in the garden. Breakfast in the garden was also amazing, all homemade or local organic produce. I doubt very much that you will have ever stayed anywhere quite like this an you should treat yourself, absolutely amazing!

Fantastic accommodation, great location and communication from the hosts. So quiet and beautiful secluded garden. Certainly got a few brownie points from my wife when she saw the room. One of the best places we have stayed. So sumptuous accommodation. Breakfast in the garden was quiet and relaxing with local cheeses, home made preserves and hosts honey. Bit pricey, but worth it and the hosts cover the cathedral car park charge.

History with great comfort and genial hosts.
The owners, Letitia & Valery couldn't have been more wonderful. Kind, carring, interesting, dedicated to guests' every comfort. They provided us with daily French lessons, served as guides made reservations and generally are dedicated to ensure the guests are made to feel like wonderful. They know and love their city and proud of their historic home which they saved from ruined and turned into a small paradise with modern comforts. We were there during the height of the super heat wave of 2018. Our hosts made sure to transfer us from the lovely apartment we had selected to another that was equally beautiful but with better air conditioning. We loved the garden, the rooms (actually apartments), decor, Letitia's country fresh breakfast, great Wifi and Valery's daily French lessons. Thank you to a brilliant and dedicated couple. We aim to return soon as we loved Troyes and it's history and we love and admire our hosts and dare I say, new and dear friends. We strongly recommend Troyes and specially Le Jardin de la Cathédrale for it's beauty and comfort and for Letitia and Valery.

Unique !
We stayed 1 night of a planned tour and deeply regret not staying longer. Stunningly beautiful, dramatically presented, with a secret garden to die for.. breakfast elegantly served in the secret garden included home made produce of very high quality, and fabulous apartment sized suite... honestly, it felt like a fabulous period drama film set! Adjoining the cathedral itself, yet not disturbed by the bells as you might think: great location for exploring Troyes and we were made to feel like friends not customers. You must try it!

The perfect stay - perfect combination of incredible location, stylish accommodation, peaceful gardens and warm welcome
The Jardin de la Cathedrale is without any question the nicest B&B we have stayed in in years for so many reasons - it practically rubs shoulders with the Cathedrale de Troyes yet is very peaceful. The rooms are beautiful - stylish, surprising, antique but modern. The beds are comfortable and the accommodation is impeccably clean. The breakfast is delicious, organic and locally sourced as far as possible, with home made yoghurt, fruit salad, rhubarb, cheese, jams, croissants etc. The beautiful garden has been attentively created by Laetitia, a garden landscaper, and each part has delightful little surprises - the pear tree is laden with pears, the lettuces are ready, the wild strawberries have been eaten by our children! Most importantly, the hosts are so welcoming and hospitable - professional, flexible and warm. As we were stuck in the Summer traffic heading back to Paris we arrived late at around 10.30pm with our two young children and Sylvie couldn't have been more welcoming and down to earth
and made sure that we had everything we needed. We loved it so much that we changed our Eurotunnel time back to the UK so that we could spend more time there. Not only will we come back to Troyes just to stay there, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Jardin de la Cathedrale to anyone who wants a peaceful, beauty-filled stay with wonderful hosts.

Troyes doesn’t really feature on the French tourist trail but it should because it’s a lovely city. If you are going to visit, this is a wonderful ancient B&B. It is beautiful and peaceful and is right in the heart of the city opposite the cathedral. Yes it is expensive – but if you feel like treating yourself to a bit of luxury this is the place. As well as the cathedral Troyes has some lovely old churches with very fine stained glass (it is one of the things the city is famous for) as well as some beautiful old timbered buildings and a very good museum of modern art (right next to Le Jardin). We struggled slightly finding the cathedral car park (the B&B paid the parking for us) but apparently it is OK if you have a satnav.

Marvellous B&B in the heart of Troyes
For sure one of the best B&Bs we ever stayed in! Le Jardin de la Cathédrale is a beautiful and nicely decorated historic house next to the Cathedral, with spacious and elegant rooms and a simply gorgeous garden. The location is perfect, parking is free (5 min walk), But what makes this place so special is without any doubt the enthusiasm and love owners Laetitia and Valéry have put in this place. We have been really pampered by their warm welcome, cakes, simply delicious breakfast, great advice and help when we got into car trouble. A stay to never forget!

Lovely ‘boutique’ style hotel
The hotel is amazing, in a beautiful and superbly restored building with great location. An ideal place for those who love ‘boutique’ style, with charming hosts and superb service. Little escapes by Barts Boekje
Het Franse koppel Laetitia en Valéry runt de boel en doet dat met verve: alles is smaakvol en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Het ontbijt bijvoorbeeld: yoghurt van buurboer één, kaas van buurboer twee, brood van de lokale bakker en een kleine weckpot met stukjes fruit en drie druifjes op de gesloten deksel. Zoet. De hele dag door draait er klassieke muziek en het koppel raakt niet uitgesproken over de omgeving, hoewel dat nooit te veel wordt. Alle kamers werden anders ingericht, iedere hoek met oorverdovend veel liefde.
Het stel woont zelf op het terrein en het hotel werd hun thuis toen de kinderen uitvlogen, Troyes, Champagnestreek, Frankrijk hoewel in eerste instantie de grote droom een hotel in Griekenland was. Na een verbouwing van ruim drie jaar lijkt het er niet op dat Laetitia en Valéry nog gaan vertrekken, gelukkig. Vijf kamers telt de prachtige B&B, vier in het huis en één in de stal in de gigantische tuin. Romantisch.

This place had us flabbergasted
The rooms, we were lucky enough to get to see them all, are beautifully furnished with an excellent eye for decoration whilst offering all comforts one may expect nowadays. Regardless, the garden is the pièce de résistance, a little piece of paradise smack in the middle of town. Breakfast is in keeping with the whole setup of this B&B, fresh, varied and delicious. We did not want to leave.

Beautiful and quiet
Wow, what a lovely place!!! We parked in the catherdral parking as directed, once we found our way to troyes, we then followed the signs to parking.
Once we arrived we were greeted and taken to our beautiful room that look directly at the Catherdral! We headed down to the garden (and I am so sorry I forgot your name) our host brought us out coffee and some cake and gave us suggestions where to go, she also Informwd us that her home was our home and to treat that way, also we were the only guests!! After a walk, we were happy to come back and relax in the serene garden, and enjoy a glass of wine we purchased! It was just so peaceful!! We too had breakfast in the garden, which was delightful and delicious!! I highly recommend this place, it was a wonderful treat, especially coming off our motorcycle tour in Europe!!! Thanks !!

We spent two nights here. It is such a treat to the senses. Visually, the lovely characterful house and garden are wonderful. The house is beautifully decorated, our bedroom was very spacious, a lovely bathroom with a wonderful open terrace leading off.
All the comforts that you expect from a 5 star accommodation. The huge bed with lovely soft French linen sheets, and a separate toilet.
Breakfast another treat, home made jams, honey produced by the owners bees, light as a feather brioche, and very good cheese, all served in delightful style with vintage silver, crockery and linen monogrammed serviettes.
Best of all the elderly brown Labrador to greet you as you come and go!!!

A truly unique place
We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The historic building has been beautifully restored by the owners, who are justifiably proud of their amazing home. The 3 rooms/suites that are currently available are all unique and special. The hosts speak excellent English and were warm, welcoming and helpful. The property is next door to the Cathedral in the heart of Troyes but still feels tranquil and quiet. We would not hesitate to recommend Le Jardin de la Cathdrale and I would love to stay there again.

An amazing house with some very interesting history situated beside the Cathedral. Ideally located to explore this lovely city. Parking about 3 minutes walk away. The property has been creatively decorated and furnished giving a very warm welcome. If it had been summer we would have enjoyed the garden. Breakfast beautifully presented and served at a table overlooking the garden Fire lit and soft music playing. All organic produce. Jams and honey home made No cooked breakfast but fruit, yogurt, breads, tea, coffee, juice delicious. We hope to visit again.

Fabulous hotel in a great location
within the historic city of Troyes
Troyes is a lovely city and this hotel is situated immediately next to the Cathedral. It is a lovely historic building has been renovated superbly, with real design flair. The rooms either look out across the Cathedral Square, or out on the walled garden. We had a fabulous welcome from the owners. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definitely stay there again.

A delight
This B&B is outstanding - a very interesting and historic house by the medieval cathedral, beautifully and authentically restored by Laetitia and Valery. A hidden gem "luxe, calme et volupté"
Laetitia and Valery made us feel like at home, just relax in the garden, cuddle the dog and sleep like a king in your ensuite. Le Jardin de la cathédrale exceeded our expectations. An island of green at the centre of the city. It is so unique with so much character and history.
the breakfast was so yummy, all the products are organic and most of them are made by laetitia. Like the honey and yoghurt.
If you want to treat yourself and sleep in a unique place don't think twice :))

My boyfriend booked this hotel for us, it's the best thing ever! It gives you tranquility and relaxation. It's designed carefully with personal touches. Letitia and Valery were amazing! The garden is beautiful! And it's in the city centre, Yet you feel like in a calm garden somewhere. Breakfast in the garden is my favourite. Everything is organic and from their own garden, including the honey! I highly recommended!

Laetitia and Valéry have made their historic home into the most beautiful place to stay. Furnished in an eclectic comfortable and interesting style. They are warm and welcoming hosts with helpful information on the town and restaurants. Our room with some stained glass windows was double aspect overlooking the gorgeous garden and the Cathedral, we also could have enjoyed an outside upper terrace over the loggia if the weather had been kinder. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom luxurious with soft towels, slippers, robes, everything you could want. Parking a few minutes walk away was free. Breakfast served near the fire with soft music playing was mostly an organic continental delight - perfect in fact. We ate in La Valentino recommended by our hosts and found the food to be well priced and very good with excellent and friendly service

Landscape gardener Laetitia Krumenacher has created an oasis of calm at her chambre d'hôte in the shadow of Troyes' gothic cathedral. The accomodation comprises five indidually decorated suites, all with a spacious bedroom, private bathroom and separate seating area, as well as a view of the cathedral or the stunning garden. Orthe facilities include a lounge area, and free secure parking a two-minutes walk away. The B&B is in the centre of the old town, with attractions and restaurants nearby, but retains a tranquil atmosphere, as the surrounding streets are traffic-free.

This is such a special hotel to come across. The hosts are on hand to make everything perfect, from restaurant recommendations, to running routes. They have taken such care in refurbishing their house and have thought of everything. The location is ideal and it’s quiet and peaceful. The rooms and facilities are absolutely stunning and the breakfast is superb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and can’t wait to go back.

Paradise

This is a true gem! The couple running this little paradise are so friendly!
The house is BEAUTIFUL and the rooms stunning. Old and modern style combined splendidly. Bathroom very modern with everything you need. Breakfast very nice and relaxed. Sitting in the garden and looking at the cathedral is amazing. The tables in the garden at breakfast are spread around in the garden so each has his own little private corner... They are making more rooms and I would go back just to see what they did with them !
Truly if ever you look for a place where everything is just perfect, come here.
Even if you're not in the neighbourhood or are passing by Troyes with no intention to stop, change your mind and stay some nights. You will certainly not regret it.

Light passer
In the 18th century, this residence was the haven of lay canons and in the 19th century, the studio of Vincent Larcher, glass painter. A source of peace and inspiration. Today, it reveals authenticity, harmony and nobility to which Lætitia and Valéry add brilliance and fantasy. Between half-timbered walls, staged stained-glass windows, some memories of the owners of the place, an overflow of colours, chandeliers, Venetian mirrors, portraits of the Virgin, statues of Christ, a loggia in the sun and a revisited priest's garden: their whole is almost unreal. Unique and eternal. At the foot of the cathedral.

La suite es espectacular, vistas, decoración, comodidad de la cama... Pero la casa en si es una pequeña obra de arte. Sientes toda la historia de la ciudad bajo tus pies. Los anfitriones sin duda otro 10.

Magnifico. Imperdible! Un paraíso de B&B
He visitado muchos B&B en Francia. Todos muy lindos pero debo decir que Le Jardin de la Cathedrale superó ampliamente todas mis expectativas. Un lugar para ir y volver. La decoración entre lo viejo y lo nuevo es bellísima. La historia del lugar y la vista directa de la catedral lo hacen más especial aún. Se nota el buen gusto, la dedicación y el amor puesto en cada rincón. La anfitriona una belleza de persona. Amable, predispuesta, sensible y te hace sentir “como en casa”. Las habitaciones son todas preciosas y de buen gusto. Amplias y confortables. El desayuno impecable con productos bio y caseros. Un jardín precioso para relajarse y disfrutar del verde pasto. Lo recomiendo 100%. Un lugar soñado para no perderse. Volvería definitivamente
